There are multiple facets that go into creating quality assessments. However one thing you must be mindful of is making sure your assessments are aligned with the objectives you covered in the lesson or unit.
This is because the assessments you create should be designed to measure your students’ progression towards mastery of those objectives.
If your assessment measures things that you did not cover in a lesson or unit, it will be an ineffective evaluative tool. This is because you will have no way to determine whether or not the students learned what you wanted them to learn.
